Brought up in Iowa farms, David McDonald developed a passion for agriculture while still a young boy. He later joined Iowa State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. In 1991, McDonald was offered a job at the OSI Group branch in Chicago. He has since held several leadership roles within the company, including serving as its project manager. David McDonald has also served at Marfrig Global Foods S.A. and North American Meat Institute as Director and Chairman respectively. Due to his hard work and determination, McDonald has climbed through various leadership positions and currently serves as OSI Group’s President and COO.
OSI Group is an Illinois-based company dealing with production and distribution of value-added protein products to high-end food service and retail stores. Some of their food products include pizza, poultry, bacon, sandwiches and meat patties. OSI Group currently operates over 50 facilities in 17 different countries. He also featured among the most respected figures in the food industry.
